An away trip to Watford on Sunday afternoon as the Baggies are looking to follow up on their mid-week win over Coventry City as they continue their festive period in the Championship.

Last time out was a victory on Wednesday evening as West Brom beat Coventry 2-0 with goals from Alex Mowatt and Karlan Grant that gave us our first victory in 5 games, we are also on an unbeaten run of 13 games with only 2 wins and 11 draws in that stretch. Can the Baggies start to pick up from this victory and start a winning streak.

Watford however drew their mid-week clash against bottom side Hull City 1-1 on Wednesday and have drawn their last 2 games they are 2 places below us with a game in hand over us, I say this trip is a tough test and are our promotion rivals in the league they also was a Premier League side 3 years ago and this is not a easy task.

Player To Watch – Watford

For Watford’s upcoming match against us, the player to watch is for Giorgi Chakvetadze who is linked to a move in January for Wolves. The 25-year-old Georgian international has been instrumental in Watford’s midfield this season, contributing significantly to their attacking play.

Chakvetadze’s vision and creativity make him a central figure in orchestrating Watford’s offense, and his ability to link play between defense and attack in where the Baggies need to keep him quiet for this encounter on Sunday. Given his current form and the interest from Premier League clubs, his performance in this match could be pivotal for Watford.

Player To Watch – West Brom

My player to watch for the Baggies is Alex Mowatt due to his ability to control the tempo of the game from midfield.

Mowatt is known for his excellent passing ability and vision. His capacity to pick out key passes could unlock Watford’s defense, especially with Josh Maja leading the line. If West Brom looks to dominate possession, Mowatt’s role in recycling and progressing the ball will be critical.

Mowatt is a dead-ball specialist, capable of delivering dangerous free-kicks and corners. Against a Watford team that may concede set pieces under pressure, his deliveries could create scoring opportunities for his teammates.

Mowatt has been in good form in recent matches, his confidence could translate into a commanding performance.

My Line Up V Watford

I have gone for a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Palmer in goal and a solid backline with Holgate and Heggem. Mowatt and Molumby would provide midfield control, linking the defense to attack and Racic would operate as a playmarker, flanked with wide threats by Johnston and Fellows with supporting striker Josh Maja who would lead the line as the main striker.

Prediction V Watford

Predictions against Watford, last time out I predicted a 2-1 win for the Baggies against Coventry and was correct with us winning the game and it was 2-0. Predictions with us away at Watford for me would be difficult. Watford has been a tough place to go over the years and we haven’t won there since November 2007.

There is normally goals in this fixture but I do expect this to happen in this fixture, I think there would be an early goal and I hate to say it but Watford would get the opening goal with Vakoun Issouf Bayo scoring the first in the first 5 minutes.

Then the rest of the first half would be quiet with not much happening, the Baggies would try and get back into the game but would miss shots off the target and would go with a 1-0 Watford scoreline at half-time.

Second half there be changes with Mikey Johnston going off for Jed Wallace, then 15 minutes into the second half Jed Wallace would get the equalising goal for us to make it 1-1. Then around the 70th minute mark there be another goal with Heggem getting a headed goal from Alex Mowatt’s corner to make it 2-1 to West Brom.

Near the end I think there be heartbreak for Baggies again, I do hate doing this but Watford would score a equaliser when Giorgi Chakvetadze would make it 2-2 and the drawing run would be back to normal service for this prediction.

Prediction: Watford 2-2 West Brom

Goalscorers for Watford: Vakoun Issouf Bayo, Giorgi Chakvetadze

Goalscorers for West Brom: Jed Wallace, Torbjorn Heggem

I hardly predict any draws for the Baggies on these match previews but I’m predicting one for Sunday, I feel there be another draw for us, I did however predict the last seven games where we would win, we won 2 of them and drew 5 since the Luton game I did predict us to lose especially when it’s a Friday night away from home we always lose.

Some of the draws I predicted this season we normally go onto win them, it be a difficult game but a draw at Watford wouldn’t be a bad result for us. I do however think we would still get a place in the top six this season but for this game on Sunday I am going for a 2-2 draw.

Lets see what happens at Vicarage Road and hope my prediction is wrong, Come on you Baggies!
