England qualify as group winners after a 0-0 draw to Slovenia in our final group game that seals us a place in the Last 16 on Sunday afternoon where Netherlands is the team likely to face.

The Three Lions fared better than against Denmark in the previous game but it was not anywhere near good enough as we are one of the favorites to win the tournament.

They were laboured and only showed quality in flashes, namely in the first half when a slick passing move ended with Bukayo Saka’s goal being ruled out for offside.

We did show some quality in the first half when Bukayo Saka’s goal was ruled out for offside after a slick pass move. Throughout the group stage we haven’t been at our best depsite winning the group I feel if it went another way we could of been knocked out the group stages. Also, we had boos at half time when the scores were level.

Denmark’s draw with Serbia means Denmark finish second in their group and Slovenia qualify as one of the best third placed teams.

It was a good night in other respects for England, with results elsewhere meaning the dangerous quartet of France, Spain, Germany and Portugal have dropped into the other side of the draw.

Meanwhile England won the group meaning that France, Spain, Germany and Portugal are all in the other side of the draw where it could be easy for us to reach the final but currently we face the Netherlands in the last 16.

England: Pickford, Tripper (Alexander-Arnold 84′). Guehi, Stones, Walker, Bellingham, Rice, Gallagher (Mainoo 46′), Foden (Gordon 89′), Kane, Saka (Palmer 71′)

Slovenia: Oblak, Janža (Balkovec 91′), Bijol, Drkušić, Karničnik, Mlakar (Stankovič 86′), Elšnik, Gnezda Čerin, Stojanović, Šeško (Iličić 75′), Šporar (Celar 86′)

Not a great game for England where this was a game we should be beating especially a team like Slovenina but a 0-0 draw is enough to top the group and be in the knockout stages of the Euros.
