The Baggies are delighted to announce the permanent signing of Ousmane Diakité who signs a 2 year contract from Austrian Bundesliga side TSV Hartberg.

The 23 year old midfielder made 34 apps for TSV Hartberg last season whilst scoring two goals. He plays as a defensive midfielder who is 6ft 2in tall and has won the U20 Africa Cup of Nations with Mail.

Ousmane Diakité is looking forward to playing in England and for the Baggies.

I think this is a great signing for the club to get a young midfielder in from Austrian top flight side TSV Hartberg and has experience playing for Red Bull Salzburg with a number of loan spells. I hope this works out and could be a great player for us.

I expect us to make further moves with Torbjorn Heggem who is expected to be having a medical at the club with a expected £420k move from Brommapojkarna. There is also Josh Windass from Sheffield Wednesday we looking to bring in with a further few players rumoured.

One player I am looking in our area is a no 9 striker where most fans would like, one player I would look to get in is Ike Ugbo from Sheffield Wednesday or Alfie May at Charlton wouldn’t be a bad move. Lets be happy we have made a move for Ousmane Diakite who looks to be a decent signing and wonder what more players the Baggies could bring in over the next few weeks.
