Another game as the end of the season is nearing, as the Baggies have a mountain to climb after three successive defeats puts them 5 points outside the play-off places with five games remaining.

Last time out was not the best of nights at Bristol as they scored a dramatic injury time goal in seconds to win the game and now the Baggies are 5 points behind the play-off places with 3 successive defeats and 5 games to play starting with Watford coming to The Hawthorns on Saturday.

Watford also did lose to Bristol City last Saturday 2-1 and beat Hull City 1-0 on Tuesday night however a win here would mean they can go above us in the table.

Player To Watch – Watford

Vakoun Bayo is a player to watch in Watford’s upcoming match due to his proven impact in this fixture. He has bagged 10 goals this season and 2 of them was against us back in December and that helped his Watford side beat us at Vicarage Road.

I think he would be looking to increase his goals against us and knows this fixture could be the one where he is eying more goals to effectively deny us a play-off place. Given his past success against West Brom and his role as a key figure in Watford’s attack, Bayo is likely to be a significant threat in the upcoming match.

Player To Watch – West Brom

Alex Mowatt stands out as a key player to watch for West Brom. He has been instrumental in the midfield where he provides both defensive stability and creative playmaking abilities. His vision and passing accuracy has enabled him to dictate the tempo of the game and link up effectively with both the defense and attack.

In addition Mowatt’s proficiency in set-pieces and long range shooting makes him a constant threat to the opposition. His leadership is vital for us to control the midfield battle against Watford.

My Line Up V Watford

A few changes after the Bristol City defeat, Josh Griffiths would retain his place in goal, Diakite would come into centre back to replace Kyle Bartley, in the wing I have Tom Fellows come in and play alongside Tammer Bany, in attack Isaac Price plays behind Adam Armstrong and Daryl Dike in a 4-1-3-2 formation.

Prediction V Watford

The toughest of all, predicting the result for this encounter the last 3 games I have predicted us to win in all of them and however we have lost them all. Now for this one over Watford our record over them in recent years have not been great and have not won against the hornets in the last 8 games. Could this stretch to 9 games?

I think the first few minutes, we would set out to attack and be more demanding after the Bristol City game but in the first 12 minutes Adam Armstrong would break the deadlock with a header following a Tammer Bany’s cross that would enter the box for the Southampton loanee to deliver to make the scoreline at 1-0 to the Baggies.

After the goal I think we would be more defensive and passing the ball around but this set-up the last few times never goes to plan and around the 35th minute mark Watford would get the equaliser with Moussa Sissoko firing from just outside the box that would beat Josh Griffiths.

Then near half time I think Watford would get another this time from a defensive mistake from Diakite that would allow Rocco Vata to pass the ball to Vakoun Bayo to put the Hornets ahead and we be 2-1 down at half-time.

Second half, it would stay 2-1 to Watford for around 20 minutes and around the 65th minute Tom Fellows would cross for Daryl Dike but one of the opposition defenders would clear out and Alex Mowatt would dive the ball into his left foot hard and would go into the back of the net to give us an equaliser.

Near the end, the Baggies would have a corner and the Watford keeper would come and take Karlan Grant down inside the box and the referee would point to the spot giving us a needed penalty and it would be Grant who would take the penalty and would score late on to give us a 3-2 win.

Another win I’m predicting but if we lose then I’m not predicting us to win again all season and I also do Dreadful Saturday stories on my personal social accounts since the Portsmouth game and it was working all the way to the Norwich game so I don’t know if I could carry that on as we lost twice in both consecutive Saturday’s so maybe if I don’t we could end up and get a unusual result.

Prediction: West Brom 3-2 Watford

Goalscorers for West Brom: Adam Armstrong, Alex Mowatt, Karlan Grant (P)

Goalscorers for Watford: Moussa Sissoko, Vakoun Bayo
