A win for the Baggies as put them still in the mix as the race for the play-offs continues after a 2-1 win over Watford puts a end to their winless run in 5 games.

Knowing their are 5 games left to play, this was one of them we had to win if we have a chance of getting into the play-offs. A win was achieved as we now wait to see how Coventry City do against Hull City on Monday evening knowing if they drop any points, the Baggies can move back into the play-off positions with a win over Coventry on Friday.
There was three changes made to the line up with Heggem, Lankshear and Fellows coming into the starting XI.
Tom Fellows made the opening goal in the early stages of the game as he beat his man before cutting back where Karlan Grant fired past the Watford keeper.

Watford then pushed for an equaliser and was close through Edo Kayembe where his run was halted by Heggem, then volleyed over and smacked the post from distance.
Then we created chances to boost our lead before half time, when Lankshear shot wide at a close range and the Watford keeper made a save when Isaac Price made an attempt.
We started off well in the second half, Mikey Johnston was denied a few times, before Tom Fellows made another step-over for Johnston to double the Baggies lead.

Watford’s Sissoko then got one back on 76 minutes, meaning that we have to hold on in the final stages.
Karlan Grant should of made it 3-1 having seeing his attempt saved. Watford also had a dramatic equaliser has Josh Griffiths made a crucial save at the dying seconds to deny his side to concede again in the final seconds.
West Brom 2-1 Watford
Goalscorers for West Brom: Karlan Grant (11′), Mikey Johnston (60′)
Goalscorers for Watford: M. Sissoko (76′)
West Brom: Griffiths; Furlong, Bartley, Heggem, Styles; Price, Mowatt; Johnston (Diangana 82), Grant, Fellows (Dike 90); Lankshear (Armstrong 74).
A decent win at The Hawthorns and now 7th in the Championship with 4 games remaining, we now need to rely on Coventry’s game on Monday as they face Hull knowing if they don’t win there it’s all eyes on the Good Friday’s clash at Coventry as a win for the Baggies would put them back into the Top Six and could be in our hands for the final few games.
I don’t know if we can do it but I think a good run to the end of the season is still needed to qualify for this season’s play-offs at the second concessive season.
