The Baggies are looking to be determined to bounce back on Saturday after the latest setback at Plymouth after suffering a 2-1 defeat last weekend.

Last weekend was not the best of days after a long journey to Plymouth and watch us lose 2-1 to bottom of the table was not a great result.
On Monday morning I heard we lost Alex Palmer to Ipswich and then after the news broke out.

Then there was happiness that Adam Armstrong has joined us on loan from Southampton till the end of the season plus Masseys Cafe is offering free sausage sandwiches before the game on Saturday where in all it doesn’t seem too bad after all.
Now we are still 6th in the table after teams around us lost with Middlesbrough also losing on Monday night to Sunderland where this was a good result for us that keeps us in the play-off positions lets see if there is a difference with Adam Armstrong scoring enough goals to maintain our play off place and could he take us one step higher than last season?
Next up is Sheffield Wednesday who we haven’t done well against in the last few seasons, losing both of our last two meetings to them 3-0 in April 2024 and 3-2 in September 2024. Lets see if we can put a end to our rot against the Owls on Saturday.
Player To Watch – Sheffield Wednesday

Josh Windass would be my player to watch for this game on Saturday, with 10 goals in 28 games he there top scorer this season and he loves scoring against the Baggies. He scored the second goal the last time we played them in September and scored the third in there 3-0 win over us at the end of last season.
I do think he would be a problem on Saturday at The Hawthorns, I wonder how our defence would handle him and a new task for Josh Griffiths after his loan spell at Bristol Rovers he would come to his first game of the season knowing how to stop Josh Windass on Saturday.
He has a strong shot from distance and is clinical inside the box. If given space, he could punish us with both feet. I however can see him scoring on Saturday after some of our defensive errors this season.
Player To Watch – West Brom

Player to watch for the Baggies is a tough one, I am saving Adam Armstrong later on but this time I’m going for Grady Diangana. A few said he had a poor game last weekend but I think he could of scored both goals and could of won us the game as his first attempt in the second half hit the post and then the second goal was offside that led us to defeat.
If he scored the first attempt and the second attempt was not in a offside position he would of been man of the match in that game and he seems to be the player who is in form at the minute he got a brace against Portsmouth a few weeks ago and I think if he does start against Sheffield Wednesday he would give the Owls defence a real good go.
I think he is starting to get used to Tony Mowbray’s football and would cause problems at The Hawthorns on Saturday.
My Line Up V Sheffield Wednesday

A few changes would be needed after last weekend over Plymouth, Josh Griffiths would take the Number 1 spot after Alex Palmer has signed for Ipswich Town in the week. Kyle Bartley would come in as centre back and partner with Heggem, I would drop Darnell Furlong for Mason Holgate after a few off the par performances in the last few games however I do believe Holgate is more better in a wing-back position than playing as a centre back.
In midfield I would bring Jayson Molumby who has been in form the last few games and I don’t see why he has been in the substitute bench of late and should be starting after his goal last week and bring in Isaac Price to make his first start in Baggies colours.
In attack looks strong with Karlan Grant and Tom Fellows playing in the wing role with Grady Diangana pairing up with new striker Adam Armstrong who would get into my starting 11 right away.
Prediction V Sheffield Wednesday
Predictions against this game last week I did predict a 3-1 victory over Plymouth Argyle, I was actually very close to putting us to lose 2-1 knowing our away day woes.
In this game we have home advantage and it normally goes in our favor, I think we would get off to a good start and in the first 10 minutes into the game Grady Diangana would strike to give us a early lead and get us bouncing. Then near half time I think the Owls would ruin our early lead and equalise with a Josh Windass goal putting the game at 1-1 at half time.
Around the 70th minute mark it would still be 1-1 and Sheffield Wednesday would get a free kick outside the box and Barry Bannan would take it and would hit the back of the net to give the Owls the lead at 2-1 with 20 minutes to go for the Baggies to save it.
Around the 81th minute mark we would get a corner with Bartley’s header hitting the crossbar and substitute Darnell Furlong would come on for Mason Holgate would strike it and put the game back level at 2-2.
In the last few moments of the game we would try and find the winner but the referee would blow for full time and I’m going for a 2-2 draw at home to Sheffield Wednesday.
Prediction: West Brom 2-2 Sheffield Wednesday
Goalscorers for West Brom: Grady Diangana, Darnell Furlong
Goalscorers for Sheffield Wednesday: Josh Windass, Barry Bannan
I’m going for a 2-2 draw both sides are entertaining and would give us a show and are finding for a place in the play-offs. I say both are good in attack and we would concede a few as the Owls attack are good and would cause us some problems, it would be nice for us to win this game but I think this would go down as a draw.
Lets see what happens though and hope we actually come back from our latest setback at Plymouth last weekend.
