The Baggies are again at The Hawthorns on Wednesday evening just soon after a 2-2 draw over Sheffield United on Sunday afternoon.

Next up is Midland rivals Coventry City who have recently appointed Frank Lampard as their manager and he won his first game in charge over the weekend with a 1-0 win over Millwall. Can The Baggies put misery to the Sky Blues and give Frank Lampard his first defeat or would Lampard haunt us at The Hawthorns.

We are currently on a spell of draws and have drew 10 out of 11 Championship games and now outside the play off positions, with only 2 defeats all season I think if we can turn those draws into wins we could have a chance of being in the top six come end of the season.

Player To Watch – Coventry City

Who is it going to be? Brandon Thomas Asante is going to be my player to watch for the opposition on Wednesday evening. It’s always a curse when a ex player plays against us they normally score past us. It wouldn’t be any surprise to any Albion supporter if he does at The Hawthorns on Wednesday.

He has only managed 1 goal for Coventry this season, I say he wouldn’t be my player to leave us over the summer for what he did for us last season as he was the only striker fit for us and helped our team get into the play-offs despite criticism from our fans and helped us in our 4-1 win over Blackburn last season in where that was his best game in a Albion shirt and the dramatic equaliser on his debut against Burnley a couple of seasons ago.

Still 25 years of age I think Thomas-Asante has what it takes in this division and his not had much game time for Coventry but if he kicks on he could manage to give the Sky Blues a good second half to the season where they currently in the bottom half in the league and maybe Frank Lampard could see something in him as his recently become their manager and I do believe he could be in their starting 11 for this Championship encounter and would cause some threat as he would be eying this game since the fixtures come out.

Player To Watch – West Brom

There has been a number of players who was excellent against Sheffield United and some I wouldn’t consider, after his recent performance in the last fixture I think Mikey Johnston wouldn’t last long before he starts to pick up form.

I say he would put in a performance over Coventry City after last season he got off the mark early on and he does love been under the lights at The Hawthorns with his early goal over Cardiff last season and a screamer over our opponents last season. I think if he starts to pick up confidence and find his finishing touch he would be one of our key players throughout this season, there’s a reason why we brought him for £3M over the transfer window and it won’t be long before he starts to play for that price tag.

My Line Up V Coventry City

A few changes made following Sunday’s game as a few could be rested, I would drop Kyle Bartley for Mason Holgate and also bring in Frabotta in left-back and continue to play Mowatt and Molumby in midfield with Mikey Johnston and Tom Fellows in the wing and look to bring in Racic in attacking midfield with Josh Maja as lone striker.

My Prediction V Coventry City

Last time out I predicted a 2-1 win over Sheffield United I was almost right but it was another 2-2 draw I was close to putting that result down as I thought they could score late on doing this but we was down 2-1 at half time and Tom Fellows rescued us with the draw against the league leaders.

Now I predict how we fare over Coventry City, I say it be a very quiet game in the first 25 minutes with neither side trying to get a goal but before half time I tip the Sky Blues to get in front with Brandon Thomas-Asante scoring a header around the 42nd minute.

It be 1-0 to Coventry at half-time, in the second half it be quiet again till the 70th minute the Baggies would get a penalty with Mikey Johnston going down and Coventry would go down to 10 men, Josh Maja would take it and put us back level at 1-1.

After the penalty we would be all over them and Karlan Grant and Devante Cole would come on and with 5 minutes left of normal time Mikey Johnston would hit one that would go in to make it 2-1 to the Baggies.

It would be too late for Coventry and West Brom would secure a victory to kind of keep us close to the top six and our first win in 5 games.

Prediction: West Brom 2-1 Coventry City

Another 2-1 win I’m predicting, I don’t know why I predict us to win 2-1 and we normally go away with a draw I do think it be close but there would be one winner eventually after 90 minutes and I’m sensing a 2-1 victory on Wednesday evening, lets see what happens at The Hawthorns and hopefully 3 points to pick up before we go to Watford on Sunday afternoon.
