Two of the Championship’s top six are facing off for a Thursday night clash at The Hawthorns. Can The Baggies end their seven game winless run and put pressure on Burnley who are also struggling in recent games.

Last time out we travelled to Luton on a Friday night and came away with a point, Josh Maja scored just before half time and Luton striked one back with Tahith Chong’s finish following a poor pass by Alex Mowatt.

Burnley are now on a 3 game winless run after losing 1-0 to Millwall on Sunday afternoon, is this now a great time to end our winless run and put Burnley in a poor patch that we currently facing? We also have drawn 5 games in a row where in some of those games we have been unlucky to not come away with a win.

It’s the first of 2 games over the week where in less than 72 hours before this fixture we would be facing Hull City away on Sunday afternoon with two fixtures coming in just 65 hours.

Player To Watch – Burnley

Player to watch for Burnley…, I’m going for Jeremy Sarmiento they also been lacking in goals of late but I am tipping him to be Burnley’s player to watch on Thursday.

I liked him when he was on loan with us last season but didn’t get much game time maybe was the reason he was sent back to Brighton then back on loan to Ipswich. However, he got replaced with Mikey Johnston soon later but I think he would be at his game when he returns to The Hawthorns on Thursday evening.

He could cause a surprise when he returns on Thursday but he hasn’t had much game time since he arrived at Burnley but I think he would play against us and if he does I wouldn’t be surprised if he comes their key player.

Player To Watch – West Brom

Josh Maja would be my player to watch for The Baggies on Thursday, he scored a excellent backheal over Luton Town last Friday. I reckon we would be seeing more of this striker throughout the season that could help us remain in the Championship’s top six.

He be the key player in this fixture as he is one of the best Championship strikers and his early season form has helped us start our recent run. If he starts to produce in the next few fixtures I think we would start getting the results needed by turning our draws of late into wins.

Can Josh Maja be the one to end our winless run over Burnley?

My Line Up V Burnley

I be starting Frabotta in left back to replace Callum Styles to give him his first start in the Championship, I would start Racic with Johnston and Fellows just behind Josh Maja.

Predictions V Burnley

Prediction against Burnley, it is going to be one of those games where we turn up or not turn up and carry on with our winless run but Burnley are also struggling and just lost to Millwall 1-0.

I think first half, it be end to end but both keepers would be at their best keeping attempts out, but near half-time I say Burnley would get the opening goal with Zian Flemming getting one from just inside the box.

Burnley would lead at the break 1-0 meaning it could be a long night ahead for The Baggies, around the 65th mark it still be 1-0 to Burnley and say we would get a penalty with Josh Maja taking one from the spot to get us back level at 1-1 by making it his 9th goal of the season.

It would stay at 1-1 until the 85th minute mark where one team would get the winner and would say Josh Maja would get his brace to get us the winner over Burnley and would win the game 2-1 in a very close game to call.

Prediction: West Brom 2-1 Burnley

Goalscorers for West Brom: Josh Maja (2)

Goalscorers for Burnley: Zian Flemming

A win I’m going for on Thursday evening at The Hawthorns that would end our 7 game winless run, I’m not sure how it would end but it could be anyone’s game, I do think there would be a winner at a West Brom game at last on Thursday and I’m going for the Baggies to win just with Josh Maja being back to his best and finally scoring goals that could help us win games.

Lets see what happens we currently not in the best in terms of results but we are drawing so many games and I think it would start doing into wins. I be back with a review on this fixture come Friday following up with a match preview against Hull City before another international break.
