The Baggies have earnt a 5th successive draw in the Championship as Tahith Chong’s 60th minute goal meant points were shared in Luton on Friday evening.

Four changes were made to the line up, Mason Holgate and Callum Styles made their first starts of the season. At the start, Baggies was under pressure where Luton created a few good chances where Carlton Morris and Elijah Adebayo had their efforts saved by Alex Palmer.

Diangana had a volley stopped on 43 minutes, before the Baggies had a well worked move where Karlan Grant crossed into to allow Josh Maja to backheal home the opening goal to give us the lead before the half time break.

Uros Racic had a free kick when play restarted and the next goal came from Luton when Mowatt gave the ball away allowing Chong to fire low past Alex Palmer to make it 1-1.

Tom Fellows came on alongside Devante Cole, also Jayson Molumby and Mikey Johnston, in an attempt to give us the winner.

Mikey Johnston had an attempt 10 minutes before the end, as did Luton’s Daiki Hashioka who headed against the post later on.

Devante Cole nearly gave the Baggies a dramatic moment with his overhead kick attempt but neither the both teams couldn’t find a winner and now our winless run stretches to 7 games with Burnley coming to The Hawthorns on Thursday night.
