The Baggies ended 2025 in style as they bounced back at The Hawthorns following a 2-1 win over QPR with goals by George Campbell and Nat Phillips.

The Baggies created the game’s opening chances where Callum Styles was involved in both times. He sent in two set-piece deliverers where Mikey Johnston smashed one opportunity over, and George Campbell diverted the other wide.
The deadlock was broken where Callum Styles to George Campbell paid off where the corner found the American defender jumping the highest to secure home his first Albion goal.
10 minutes before the break, QPR got the leveler when Ousmane Diakite accidently diverted the ball into his own net from a QPR free-kick.
Neither team threatened again in the final stages of the first half, however 10 minutes from the restart the Baggies went ahead with Nat Phillips, the defender towering above everyone else inside the box and headed in Mikey Johnston’s cross.
Phillips quickly showed his worth down the other end, brilliantly blocking Koki Saito’s shot, while Karlan Grant played well where his efforts was saved.
Heggebo got the goal that was ruled out by the linesman that didn’t look offside but in the end the Baggies came away 2-1 winners to end their last game of 2025.
West Brom: Wildsmith, Campbell, Phillips, Taylor, Styles, Diakite, Mowatt (Molumby 74), Iling-Junior (Mepham 84), Johnston (Price 67), Grant, Heggebø (Maja 67).
A 2-1 win at The Hawthorns and a great night it was following our dreadful performance on Boxing Day, I predicted a narrow win at we got it deserved. Lets hope we go again and get back to back wins since August on New Years Day where we face Swansea City.
