The Baggies were held to Leeds United at The Hawthorns as we took a point in our first home game of the season.

It was a decent performance overall as we couldn’t break the deadlock in this encounter against last season’s beaten play off finalists Leeds United.
We have now gained four points in our first two games and now face a trip to Stoke City next weekend.
Carlos Corberan started the same team that beat QPR on the opening fixture of the season as they started in their first game at The Hawthorns of the 2024/25 season.
We played well in the first half without creating too many chances. However, Leeds did have a few chances despite having less of the ball.
Meanwhile Kyle Bartley was unable to guide the ball home as we failed to take advantage with a few corners, free kicks and throws.

The Baggies were strong following the half time interval and quickly forced Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier into the game for the first time, following Jayson Molumby shooting straight at him form the inside the area.
Karlan Grant was set up by Jayson Molumby half way through the second half but could put the shot off target while Kyle Bartley also nodding past the post soon afterwards.
Corberán introduced Jed Wallace, Lewis Dobbin and Grady Diangana to try and find a late winner – however there were few late openings and it finished level.
West Brom: Palmer; Furlong, Bartley, Ajayi, Heggem; Molumby (Diakite 90+3), Mowatt; Grant (Wallace 75), Swift (Diangana 85), Fellows; Maja (Dobbin 85).
Leeds United: Meslier; Bogle; Rodon; Struijk; Firpo; Ampadu; Gruev; James (Aaronson 64′); Piroe (Rothwell 64′); Gnonto; Joseph (Bamford 79)
A 0-0 draw against Leeds isn’t bad, I would of took it before the day started and I did predict we would beat Leeds in the match preview. We got 4 points in 2 games with a trip up to Stoke City next Saturday.
