A lively entertaining game at Stoke City, where Karlan Grant and Josh Maja got on the scoresheet to see off Stoke City at the Bet365 Stadium.

The day started as I got up this morning to get the coach from Brierley Hill on Black Country Albion’s Coach all the way to Stoke with a pub stop on the way as we stopped off in Stone.

However, onto the game as the Baggies have now won two away games on the bounce where we haven’t achieved this last season, the last time we have done this was in January 2023 where we beat Luton 3-2 in January 2023 and Bristol City on Boxing Day 2022.

On the 18th minute Tom Fellows crossed for Karlan Grant to head their opening goal of the game where we took the lead. It should of been 2-0 to us when Tom Fellows was denied by a goal-line clearance from Eric Bocat.

Moments later, Stoke got back level when ex Albion Jason Koumas son Lewis put the ball into the back of the net. But, within two minutes again the Baggies was back in front when Tom Fellows provided Josh Maja to score his 4th goal of the season from the edge of the box. I thought after that there be more goals in this encounter as Stoke looked threatening near the end of the first half.

The second half was much quiet from the Baggies, but it looked very tense in the last 20 minutes as Stoke pushed hard for a equalizer and looked certain to score when Lewis Koumas hit the post, at the end of the day we secured the all important three points making this our best start to the season since the promotion season of 2019-20.
