We travel to Bramall Lane this Saturday in what is becoming an increasingly important game for the Baggies. It’s been a difficult run for Albion, who currently sit 21st in the Championship and are still searching for their first win since December 29th. Confidence is clearly low and results haven’t been going our way, meaning the pressure is starting to build as we edge closer to the business end of the season.

There is something happening around West Brom, they have struggled in this calendar year and it’s only two months into 2026, we’ve seen of two managers in that time Ryan Mason and Eric Ramsay. Now James Morrison is given the interim role for the rest of the season and can the Baggies have something to give after another defeat in a relegation six pointer last weekend to Oxford United.
Player To Watch – Sheffield United

One player Albion will need to keep a close eye on this weekend is Callum O’Hare. The former Coventry City F.C. man has built a reputation for being a constant nuisance between the lines, always looking to pick up pockets of space and driving at defenders. O’Hare has been one of Sheffield United F.C.’s more productive attacking players this season, scoring 9 goals in 35 appearances while also providing 5 assists. With Albion struggling for form and confidence, giving a player like him space around the box is something we simply can’t afford.
From a Baggies perspective, this is exactly the type of game where O’Hare might look to make an impact. Players who have come through tough Championship battles with sides like Coventry often relish these opportunities, especially against teams going through a difficult spell.
Given Albion’s defensive struggles and the pressure around the side right now, he’ll likely see this as a chance to influence the game in the final third. If we’re not organised and disciplined in midfield, O’Hare has already shown this season he’s more than capable of punishing teams.
Player To Watch – West Brom

One Albion player who could have a big role to play this weekend is Ollie Bostock. The young midfielder made a real impact last weekend after coming off the bench and finding the back of the net, giving Baggies fans a rare bright moment during a difficult period for the club. With Albion struggling near the bottom of the table, moments like that can be huge for confidence, and Bostock will now be eager to build on that goal and show he can contribute more consistently in the final third.
From a West Brom perspective, this could be the perfect opportunity for Bostock to step up again. With the team desperate for players willing to take responsibility and make things happen, his energy and attacking intent could be vital against Sheffield United. After getting his name on the scoresheet last weekend, he’ll be looking to add more goals to his tally and prove he can be one of the players to help turn Albion’s season around. In a time where every point matters, Bostock might just be the spark we need to start climbing away from trouble.
My Line up V Sheffield United

Team I go for against Sheffield United away, I bring in Alex Williams into the team and have George Campbell into a centre back role with Krystian Bielik.
I have 3 players in midfield with Alex Mowatt coming into defensive midfield with 2 in front of Jayson Molumby and Ousmane Diakite.
In attack Ollie Bostock would come into the starting XI with Jimoh-Aloba and Heggebo as striker.
Prediction V Sheffield United
Now prediction for the game over Sheffield United at Bramall Lane, last time out I said we win 2-1 and it went the opposite way as Oxford United stunned us and put us into a big relegation fight for the last 11 games to go.
I think we all know how this one is going to turn out, In the first 10 minutes it all be even and a corner would be given for West Brom and Mowatt’s corner would land for Krystian Bielik to get his first goal for the club and give us a lift as we open the scoreline at Bramall Lane.
The lead would last till the 43rd minute until Sheffield United get one back as Harrison Burrows would make a great move for Thomas Cannon to strike to put the scores back level at half-time.
In the second half, a penalty would be given and it would be for the Baggies as Heggebo would be taken down by Tanganga enough for the referee to point to the spot, then Heggebo would get his first goal since December by converting his penalty into the net to give us a unexpected 2-1 lead.
In the 73rd minute Sheffield United would know how to get one back as Callum O’Hare would score from the side of the box to beat O’Leary. Then moments later there be more Baggies heartbreak as Callum O’Hare would make a great pass for Patrick Bamford to make a great strike to put the Blades ahead and get all three points late on and another defeat for the Baggies but I say a more better performance but as usual confidence is low and the results aren’t just coming for us at the minute.
Prediction: Sheffield United 3-2 West Brom
Goalscorers for Sheffield United: Thomas Cannon, Callum O’Hare, Patrick Bamford
Goalscorers for West Brom: Krystian Bielik, Aune Heggebo
I say there be goals in this game, I just expect it as it’s known as the Battle of Bramall Lane I say we try and make a response but with Sheffield United are a team that can score goals but can concede goals.
The Baggies aren’t scoring as great at the minute but I do feel we can get a early lead but we be under a lot of pressure to keep hold of a perfect result here as we would concede just before half-time and would near the end again as we have been doing this a lot this season. I’m going 3-2 Sheffield United.
