A tense Wednesday evening at MATRADE Loftus Road Stadium as Relegation Battlers QPR and Play Off Chasing West Brom share points.

Darnell Furlong in action for The Baggies.

Before the game on my match preview, I predicted that a ex-Baggie would score against us I said it would be Chris Willock but I was wrong. It was Sam Field who scored the opening goal for the Hoops after a goalkeeping error by Alex Palmer that made it 1-0 to QPR.

Mikey Johnston levels it for the Baggies after ex-Baggie Sam Field took the lead earlier on.

It didn’t last long the lead for QPR when 8 minutes later, Mikey Johnston scored another wonderful goal that brought us level to make it his 4th goal in eight appearances, definitely the one player we should sign permanently come end of the season. Then 2 minutes later another step over by Tom Fellows created an opportunity for Grady Diangana to give us the lead and come back from 1-0 down in just 2 minutes.

Before half-time QPR did have a lot of chances especially of how many corners they got, I actually lost count. Even at the start of the second half, it started the same of how it was at the end of the first half QPR having corner after corner, in one of there corners they got a penalty after Adam Reach hand balled on his elbow which to me looked like it was not a penalty.

QPR Penalty then eventually saved by Alex Palmer.

However, the penalty was saved by Alex Palmer after Michael Frey’s effort from the spot. Then a few minutes later QPR had a shot where this time it looked like it should be a penalty when Cedric Kipre cleared their shot with his hand.

Sam Field scored twice to make it on the list of players to score against his former side.

The Baggies couldn’t hold on to the lead when Sam Field haunted us again after finding the equaliser to make it 2-2 after Dunne headed the ball across the bar then fell to Field to header it in.

There was more drama at QPR when their defender Cook’s overhead kick was cleared off the line by Darnell Furlong where we was lucky to not lose this game.

Points were shared on the night and I admit we was not at our best tonight and a draw isn’t the worst result to come out of this. Results have gone in our favour with Norwich losing at Middlesbrough where we extended our gap to 7th to 5 points.

Next up for the Baggies is an away trip to Huddersfield on Sunday afternoon shown on Sky Sports again, where I will be making the trip up to Yorkshire this weekend. QPR are back at home to Middlesbrough on Saturday afternoon.
