After nine games, The Baggies have finally ended the rot and won a game after a 2-1 victory over Hull City on Sunday afternoon at MKM Stadium.

It was a special day for West Brom’s manager Carlos Corberan as he has celebrated his 100th game in charge since joining in October 2022.

Mikey Johnston played a key role in the 12th minute feeding the ball onto Karlan Grant onto the left and his effort went in through a deflection from the Hull’s defence to put us ahead.

Hull City nearly equalised after the goal when Xavier Simons hit the crossbar from outside the box.

The Baggies then went two up immediately with a great move involving Mikey Johnston that saw Furlong’s header set up Josh Maja who doubled our lead.

But the Tigers did manage to pull one back – Pedro guiding a cross over Alex Palmer and in, leaving the clash finely poised come the interval.

The Tigers then managed to pull one back with Joao Pedro guided the cross over Alex Palmer and went in, giving the home fans hope of turning it around.

Hull was dominate in the second half with Mason Burstow had a shot saved by Alex Palmer, then Regan Salter nearly levelled for Hull where his header was off target.

The Baggies almost put the game to bed when Torbjorn Heggem was denied where his overhead kick was tipped over midway through the second half.

It was frustrating near the end, as Hull City did come at us and Alex Palmer made a great injury time save to stop Adbus Omur’s free kick and helps the Baggies secure an important three points that puts them back 5th in the Championship.

Hull City 1-2 West Brom

Goalscorers for Hull: Joao Pedro

Goalscorers for West Brom: Karlan Grant, Josh Maja

What a win at Hull City, I predicted a 2-0 win that wouldn’t be the best of performances but 3 points on the table and enough to pick up form when we come back from the international break with Norwich at The Hawthorns next up on 23rd November.
