Points were shared on Saturday afternoon between the Baggies and the Tigers as we maintain our position in the play offs.

We came to Hull knowing this is the battle for maintaining our position in the play-off race.

In the first 20 minutes of the first half, we controlled the game where Alex Mowatt had his attempt on goal saved by Hull’s keeper Ryan Allsopp.

After the 20 minutes passed, Hull seemed to dominate where one of their opportunities came when Anaas Zaroury shot was denied by our keeper Alex Palmer.

The goal did eventually come in the 35th minute when I said one of Hull’s players to watch in this game, Fabio Carvalho scored the opener for Hull City.

The Tigers’ lead didn’t last long when Darnell Furlong equalised following a cheeky header from Jed Wallace’s corner.

Darnell Furlong equalises for Baggies just before half-time.

In the second half, both sides had a few chances to get the winner when Hull’s Philogene shot from 18 yards but the ball hit the right of the post and Fabio Carvalho failed to score a brace when his rebound fired over.

The Baggies also hit the woodwork moments later when Adam Reach well-directed shot struck the inside of the left post. Then Mikey Johnston followed up from the right, but Hull’s Ryan Allsopp made a great save to deny us a victory.

In added time, we had another chance when substitute Andi Weimann’s chip fired straight to the Hull’s goalie.

Darnell Furlong applauds the travelling fans at the end of the game.

A draw is a fair result away from home against a side who is also fighting to be in the play-offs this season. The Baggies have played well this game and could have got three points, a point I will take as we maintain our position in the play-offs.

Next up is Coventry at home on Friday night, where the Tigers face Preston away next Saturday.
