West Brom and Stoke City shared points before Christmas earlier this season.

The Baggies go to South Staffordshire on Saturday afternoon as they entertain Stoke City at The Bet365 Stadium as they push on further to secure a play-off place in the Sky Bet Championship.

After a Easter Weekend at Millwall and the home game at Watford, The Baggies come out with 2 draws despite falling behind in both games and came back, with a John Swift penalty at Millwall to make it 1-1 and 3 days later after being 2-0 down against Watford, we fought on with a Darnell Furlong strike in added time to give us another point.

Meanwhile Stoke City gained four points over the Easter period by beating Hull City 2-0 on Good Friday before drawing 1-1 at home to Huddersfield Town on Easter Monday.

With Stoke gaining four points and us with only two points, it will be difficult while playing away from home I think it be like last season when we came here and won it 2-1 but we see how it helps in this match.

Player To Watch – Stoke City

Ki-Jana Hoever celebrates one of his goals over the Easter Weekend

Now time what I do in every match preview, which is Player To Watch for the opposition and for our side in this game between Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion.

The Player I am going for to watch in this game for Stoke would be Ki-Jana Hoever who is on loan from our rivals the Dingles has managed to score twice over the Easter Weekend with a goal over Huddersfield and scored late on to secure the win at Hull City on Good Friday.

With Hoever who is currently a Dingles player would get some stick from some Baggies supporters on Saturday. I say he would use this to support himself and would love to get a goal against us and I wouldn’t really be surprised if he does get a goal himself after scoring in his last 2 games.

Do you think Ki-Jana Hoever could grab a goal against us on Saturday?

Player To Watch – West Brom

Grady Diangana in action for The Baggies this season.

The player to watch would of been Jayson Molumby if he was fit and ready after getting a brace in this fixture this time last season that kept our play-off hopes alive.

This time I am going to go for Grady Diangana after his excellent display coming off the bench against Watford and gained us a valuable point with his two assists, this time I am going to for Grady as the player to watch for against Stoke City.

With 7 goals and 7 assists for The Baggies this season he could reach his best stats that he gained in our promotion season in 2019-2020 with 14 G/A. I say he is one of the best players in the league and has had some stick from supporters in recent years but has rediscovered his form since Carlos Corberan took over last season and will be a key player in this fixture and I say he would get another assist or maybe a goal here at the Bet365 Stadium.

My Line Up V Stoke City

My Line Up means a few changes where Cedric Kipre comes in for Semi Ajayi where I start him if he is fit and ready to play.

I also start Grady Diangana ahead of John Swift in attacking midfield where I would play the front four in Tom Fellows, Grady Diangana, Mikey Johnston and Brandon Thomas-Asante who have all got goals and assists in them.

Predictions

I say like in every game it be a difficult game for us as it is the Championship and late on in the season, but so far since starting Baggies Talk 2 months ago I have not predicted us to lose as of yet, where I so far predicted 6 wins and 2 draws in our last 8 games but we are unbeaten in 7 games and I say our unbeaten run will continue here.

I do feel we will concede first, with Stoke taking the lead in the first 10 minutes with Ki-Jana Hoever scoring first. Then the Baggies will equalise just before half-time with Brandon Thomas Asante finding the net to make it 1-1 at Half-Time to give us hope that we can win this game come second half.

Then in the second half I will go for Mikey Johnston to get the second goal of the game with another strike from outside the box, then Grady Diangana to make it 3-1 for us at the Bet365 Stadium and I feel Stoke City would get another goal to give them hope late on but still wouldn’t be enough for them to come back into the game. So I am going for a 3-2 victory for the Baggies on Saturday afternoon where I have now predicted a 5th straight win for us on the match previews so far.

Lets hope I am right on Saturday and we get the three points that would take us closer to playing in the Play-Offs next month. We see what happens as I be making the journey up to Stoke this weekend to make this my 12th away day of the season but with me going to away games I only seen us win twice away this season at Preston and Huddersfield but I am hoping to see my third away win of the season at Stoke on Saturday. Come on you Baggies!

Prediction: Stoke City 2-3 West Brom

Goalscorers for Stoke City: Ki-Jana Hoever, Josh Laurent

Goalscorers for West Brom: Brandon Thomas Asante, Mikey Johnston, Grady Diangana
