The Baggies have come back to winning ways on Saturday after they beat Oxford United 2-0 at The Hawthorns and moved back into the play-off places.

There was four changes made following the 1-1 draw at Millwall, with Mowatt, Isaac Price, Mikey Johnston and Tom Fellows came into the starting line up.

Two of those players was involved when the Baggies made a great start at The Hawthorns when Isaac Price fed through to Alex Mowatt to score his sixth goal this season in the opening 10 minutes.

We again tried to get a second where Adam Armstrong hit one off target, Jayson Molumby saw his header saved and Mikey Johnston had a strike that was blocked during a dominant spell where Oxford kept us at bay.

There was another opportunity for the Baggies when Armstrong saw his volley hit outside the area, but Oxford keeper Jamie Cumming pushed it away. The game ended 1-0 at half-time.

Oxford had an effort on goal following the restart with Platcheta smashed high and wide but Albion soon got into control.

Armstrong and Price both curled free-kicks off target before Mowatt went close to grabbing his brace, Jamie Cumming having to acrobatically save his long-ranger.

Oxford put us under pressure in the last 10 minutes in stoppage time and it was the Oxford’s keeper who came for a corner that led us to our second goal following a counter attack and it was John Swift the player to break forward and tapped home into a empty net, that gives us a win and celebration around The Hawthorns to put us back into the play-off places.
