A much-improved display from the Baggies at The Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon earned them a point, as they were held to a goalless draw that takes us out of the relegation zone.

The Baggies were the more dominant side in the opening minutes, coming closest when Jed Wallace had the best chance of the first half. He drove through the heart of the Potters’ defence before seeing his shot go wide.

That chance seemed to spark the game into life, as Stoke quickly responded by testing Max O’Leary with two successive efforts from Bosun Lawal and Sorba Thomas, both comfortably saved.

Albion came close to opening the scoring just before halftime, as Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba’s deflected effort—set up by a clever run from the debutant—was tipped over by Tommy Simkin.

Eric Ramsay aimed to boost Albion’s attacking threat on the hour mark, making three changes by introducing Mikey Johnston, Aune Heggebø, and Josh Maja.

The former almost made an immediate impact, whipping a low cross into Price, who could only guide it into the side netting.

It was a positive and much better display from the Baggies on Saturday afternoon as this helps the side climb out of the bottom three and attention now turns to Blues on Tuesday night.

West Brom 0-0 Stoke City

A goalless draw at The Hawthorns saw both sides well-organised defensively, but Eric Ramsay is still searching for his first win in five games. While his setup showed glimpses of effectiveness against Stoke, it remains to be seen whether it will deliver consistently, and at this stage he is still under pressure given an uneven start to the season.

Next up, Albion travel to face the Blues on Tuesday evening for a West Midlands Derby at St Andrews.
