The Baggies are travelling to London on Saturday in a Championship cash as they face Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road. With the season entering a defining phase, both sides arrive on the same record of wins, draws and points with us sitting in 12th and QPR at 13th.

Both sides sit on the same points with the same record in the league and 4 points off the play-offs, face off at Loftus Road with both sides hoping to be close to the top six come the end of the game.

Last time out we faced Swansea City and was 2-0 down at half-time and came back in the second half to win the game 3-2 with Jayson Molumby scoring another winner to complete a perfect comeback. While QPR lost to Norwich City at Carrow Road 3-1, with the Baggies having only lost one in four with us being 2-0 up to Coventry to then lose 3-2, I am confident we could pull off a result here but with our away form being so poor in recent seasons and losing 5 away games on the bounce I’m not sure how this one would go here.

Player To Watch – QPR

If there’s one QPR player the Baggies defence cannot afford to underestimate on Saturday, it’s Rumarn Burrell—and not just because of his threat on the ball. He comes into this game as Rangers’ top scorer, which immediately puts him in the danger category for any Championship defence, especially one with our recent track record.

Annoyingly from a West Brom point of view, we do seem to have a habit of allowing opposition top scorers to get on the scoresheet against us, and that’s a trend nobody wants to see continued at Loftus Road. Burrell is exactly the kind of in-form forward who could punish any lapse in concentration.

What makes him such a problem is his unpredictability. He’s direct, aggressive, and always looking to run at his man. He isn’t afraid to take defenders on one-v-one, and that’s exactly the kind of attacker that has caused us problems at times this season, particularly when defending out wide or in transition.

There’s also his work rate to consider. Burrell doesn’t just wait for chances—he presses, he harries, and he forces mistakes. Against a West Brom side that likes to build from the back and dominate possession, that intensity could easily disrupt our rhythm if we’re not fully switched on.

From a Baggies perspective, the task is simple: limit his space, cut off his supply, and don’t allow him to grow into the game. History tells us that if we give the opposition’s main goal threat too much freedom, we usually pay the price.

He may not be the biggest name in the division yet, but he’s QPR’s main man for goals right now—and that alone makes Rumarn Burrell the key danger for Albion this weekend.

Player To Watch – West Brom

If Albion are to leave Loftus Road with all three points, Aune Heggebø could once again be the man to make the difference. The Norwegian is in red-hot form, with five goals in his last four games, and right now he looks like one of the most dangerous forwards in the Championship.

Since that standout performance against Coventry and Swansea, Heggebø’s transformation has been impossible to ignore. What felt like a player still settling into English football has turned into one of our most important attacking outlets. His confidence is soaring, his movement is sharper, and defenders are clearly struggling to live with him.

What makes him such a threat is his physical dominance combined with intelligent movement. He gives centre-backs a torrid afternoon—strong in the air, relentless in the press, and constantly pulling defenders into areas they don’t want to go. Against a QPR defence that can be tested under sustained pressure, his presence in the box could be decisive.

Crucially, this current run of form is starting to spark serious belief among Albion fans that we could be watching the rise of one of the Championship’s top scorers. Strikers are built on momentum, and Heggebø looks like a player riding a wave right now—hungry, confident, and fully convinced he’ll score every time he steps onto the pitch.

From a Baggies perspective, the message is simple: get crosses into the box, play to his strengths, and give him chances. With the form he’s in, he doesn’t need many to make an impact.

Burrell may be QPR’s danger man—but right now, Albion have their own in devastating form. And if Heggebø keeps this run going, Saturday could be another big step towards him becoming one of the most feared forwards in the division.

My Line Up V QPR

Prediction V QPR

Predictions for this one, last time out I did predict a narrow 2-1 win against Swansea City and came away with a comeback in the second half to win the game 3-2 at The Hawthorns. For this one I would think we can get something but it be narrow for either both sides.

In the first half, the Baggies would attack more with Heggebo taking a shot with the QPR keeper making a few decent saves, around the 32nd minute the deadlock be broken and say we would get the first goal with Isaac Price going past one of the opposition players to smash one in and reaches the back of the net to give us a 1-0 lead.

Before half time, a howler in defence would allow Rumarn Burrell to then shoot wide to put the scoreline at 1-1 and it is all level at the break.

Second half the start be very nervy with QPR trying to take the lead and one of them would hit the crossbar, they be in control for much of the half and a few changes would be made. I say around the 88th minute mark it be Dike and Heggebo in the front two, Dike would take a header that would hit the post from a Mikey Johnston cross and then Heggebo would run past to reach the ball and beats Paul Nardi to then give us a 2-1 win with Heggebo being the match winner.

Prediction: QPR 1-2 West Brom

Goalscorers for QPR: Rumarn Burrell

Goalscorers for West Brom: Isaac Price, Aune Heggebo

A 2-1 win I’m going for at Loftus Road, and there be a late winner it’s always the opposition scoring late to give us heartbreak but I think the Baggies would just about pull this one off and give us some joy we all need on the road and give us three points to take us near the play-off places. Lets see how this one plans out.
