A draw at Millwall on Saturday afternoon that keeps the Baggies still 6th in the Championship. An own-goal ensured we claimed a point down in London.

A long trip to London it was, due to protests in the area the game was delayed and I didn’t get to the ground 42 minutes into the first half. Another reason the EFL didn’t delay the game for longer than expected and missed two goals.

A few changes following the midweek defeat with Semi Ajayi, Ousmane Diakite, Jed Wallace, Grady Diangana and Will Lankshear all come into the starting 11.

Millwall keeper Jensen saves Adam Armstrong’s effort but Millwall created the early chances in the first period. Casper De Noore and Femi Azeez both had shots narrowly off-target.

Millwall scored via Cooper on 19 minutes with him headed the ball into the back post.

The lead for Millwall didn’t last long, with Furlong’s cross netted by a Millwall player that gave us an ordinary equaliser.

Joe Wildsmith made some decent saves in the second half, as he tipped over Jake Cooper’s attempt before denying Tanganga from the resulting corner.

There was a great moment as Daryl Dike returned to action for the first time in a year. Wildsmith stopped three Millwall shots towards the end with substitute Camiel Neghli twice alongside gathering a rebound.

John Swift had a moment near the end having his shot wide, leaving us with a point in London and keeps us still 6th in the league with Oxford at The Hawthorns coming up next Saturday.

Millwall 1-1 West Brom

Goalscorers for Millwall: Jake Cooper (19′)

Goalscorers for West Brom: Joe Bryan (OG) (26′)

A draw after a midweek defeat is something I would take but it was a disappointing day travelling having left West Brom at 8:30am and taking over 4 hours to travel 4 miles to get to the ground bit silly but the EFL should have pushed the kick off time at least another 20 minutes or so or pushed it back to Sunday if they knew there was a protest going on and I do feel sorry for the coaches and heard 4 others didn’t make it to the game at all.

Hopefully next week be a lot better and Leeds be a great away day in 2 weeks time.
