It’s Carabao Cup action for the Baggies as they enter the first round on Tuesday Evening as they travel all the way to Fleetwood where the road to Wembley starts come March.

The Baggies start the first round as they take on Fleetwood who are currently in League Two as they got relegated last season from League One, they started the season off well on Saturday after a 1-0 win against Grimsby. For us, we come into the game with slight confidence after beating Queens Park Rangers on the opening day 3-1.
I expect this game is the chance to give players some confidence and momentum as it could be a good time to play Fleetwood before our game against Leeds United on Saturday. I think we should try and get the win here and try to advance to the Second Round of the Carabao Cup.
Player To Watch – Fleetwood

I don’t really know much about the Fleetwood players, but going from their line up of what they started with against Grimsby on Saturday I am going for MacKenzie Hunt.
Hunt signed from Everton Academy in the transfer window and has been one of the outstanding players in their 1-0 win over Grimsby over the weekend. He made the assist for Fleetwood following Mark Helm’s goal, Fleetwood have a few young players in their team and it looks like we could be playing a few of our youth players on Tuesday however I think Hunt could cause us issues coming into this cup tie and he would be the player to watch come Tuesday Evening at Highbury Stadium not the old Arsenal stadium but it’s also now Fleetwood’s stadium.
Player To Watch – West Brom

Player to watch I’m going for Lewis Dobbin, as he didn’t start Saturday’s 3-1 win over QPR I think he would be given a start here and to help him start his Baggies career against Fleetwood on Tuesday.
After signing on loan from Aston Villa last week, he would be my player who could get off to his best start in the cup tie, I believe he could show his quality and see off Fleetwood to advance to Round 2, he is the perfect replacement for Mikey Johnston last season and this could be the game where I think he could get his first goal where he could then take this to the league.
My Line Up V Fleetwood

Here is my line up starting at Fleetwood, I start a few young players in this cup tie with Caleb Taylor, Reece Hall starting I give Frabotta his first start and give chances to Fenton Heard and Reyes Cleary who has impressed in the Under 23’s side and give Devante Cole his first start following his debut against QPR on Saturday.
My Prediction V Fleetwood
With a few of our academy players could be starting it could be like the Cambridge game in pre season but there would be a few first team starters alongside them as we haven’t got a game the next day like we did in pre-season.
I think we would start off well with the opening goal in the first 15 minutes with Lewis Dobbin scoring on his debut and just before half time I see Reyes Cleary scoring the second goal to make it 2-0 before the break.
Second half I see Fleetwood getting one back to make it 2-1 that would put more pressure onto us and we would finish the game in style with Karlan Grant coming on to win us the game and to advance to Round 2 of the Carabao Cup.
Prediction: Fleetwood 1-3 West Brom
Another 3-1 win predicted for the Baggies following the QPR victory on Saturday, I say we win it comfortably that would help us get into Wednesday night’s draw.
Goalscorers for Fleetwood: MacKenzie Hunt
Goalscorers for West Brom: Lewis Dobbin, Reyes Cleary, Karlan Grant
We all like the magic of the cup and it could be a great evening at Fleetwood, lets see what happens on Tuesday as we wait for the game on Saturday against Leeds United.
