The hosts scored in the 95th minute to put more pressure on Ryan Mason as the Baggies have now lost 4 in the last 6 games.

Sonny Carey’s stoppage time strike earned the Addicks all three points at the Valley Stadium.

We started the game brightly with Karlan Grant and Isaac Price both failed to convert and Sam Iling-Junior half volleyed the best opportunity off target.

Charlton did not test the goalkeeper until they was awarded a penalty when the referee seemed Diakite to have handballed in the box. However the hosts had their spotkick saved by Josh Griffiths keeping the scores level.

Isaac Price was given another chance before the break when he raced through down the right, his finish went past the far post keeping the game goalless at half-time.

The Baggies started well in the second half, with Iling-Junior curled one wide and Price racing into the area moments later only to be denied by Thomas Kaminski.

Down the other end, Josh Griffiths denied Carey’s attempt, whilst Miles Leaburn couldn’t divert a header towards the Albion net.

Charlton got the winner in the 96th minute, though Carey’s long-range deflected goal leaving the Baggies disappointed for their efforts at The Valley.

Charlton Athletic 1-0 West Brom

Goalscorer for Charlton Athletic: Sonny Carey

Another defeat on the road and another late goal to concede as we now go 4 games without a win. Pressure is on for Ryan Mason as recent results shows it’s poor and if it carries on like this there be worrying times at the club. For me personally, I think Ryan Mason should be sacked after this result and a taxi should of been arranged for him outside The Valley and I now know he be in charge for the game against Oxford on Saturday and if we lose at home to them it should be time up for Mason at the club.
