The Baggies are knocked out of The FA Cup 3rd round after Premier League side Bournemouth battered us 5-1 at the Vitality Stadium.

A long trip to Bournemouth for a Saturday afternoon with the 3rd round of the FA Cup that most fans look for in the football calendar. However, the fans couldn’t stop singing all game and seemed a good day in the away end.
It was a good 25 minutes to the game as I say before we switched off and we took the lead with the young academy graduate Caleb Taylor who grabbed Baggies the lead inside 15 minutes when Grady Diangana’s header bounced off the crossbar, leaving Taylor to head home his first Baggies goal.

The Cherries found the equaliser before the half-hour mark with David Brooks cross reaching out to Kluivert and the attacking midfielder made no mistake at all by putting the scores back level to 1-1.
Then they went ahead moments later through Ouattara’s low, near-post strike, when first-half stoppage time at the end of a quick counter-attack.
Then Bournemouth went ahead moments later when Ouattara strike and near stoppage time he scored again following a Cherries counter attack where they lead 3-1 at the break.
Bournemouth who are having a great season in the Premier League this season found the net again at the start of the second half with Semenyo firing the ball into the corner of the net giving the Baggies a complete nightmare down the South Coast.
Jed Wallace saw his shot saved as the Baggies tried to get one towards the end of the second half but it was the Cherries day and got one more in stoppage time when Jebbison added one to give us a 5-1 defeat down in Bournemouth.

A 5-1 defeat to Bournemouth, I didn’t expect this to be the scoreline before the game I said 1-1 on the match preview after 90 minutes and Bournemouth to nick it in extra time, I did before the game felt a bit confident we could nick a win here but with me saying we going to win on an away day we always go on to lose the game. I need to be less confident going into these away games thinking we going to go away with nothing.
Anyways it’s the FA Cup and we knocked out we need to focus more on the league as we are playing for securing a top six place and with Bournemouth they are 7th in the Premier League and pretty much they are safe and could be in a chance of securing European football this season. Next up is Stoke City on Saturday 18th and Bournemouth have an away trip to Chelsea on Tuesday night.
