Back in action as the Baggies travel to London after a mid-week suffering over Blackburn Rovers at The Hawthorns. Can the Baggies comeback here and hope to maintain their play-off hopes?

Last time out West Brom was beaten by Blackburn as they scored 2 goals in the first half and we had 2 goals therefore disallowed but we go again 3 days later as we prepare to take on Millwall who have been decent before being beaten 5-1 by Plymouth on the same night as our defeat.
Millwall sit 14th in the Championship and only 7 points separates us between them and we have haven’t beaten them since February 2020 with a 2-0 win. There have been 7 games between us since and Millwall have won twice and it has ended up as a draw 5 times with the last 4 meetings being draws.
I do say Millwall are one of our bogey teams in the Championship and I do think this would be another difficult game at The Den.
Player To Watch – Millwall

Mihailo Ivanović would be my player to watch for Millwall and seems to be a promising talent he has scored a number of goals for the club this season and recently scored the only winning goal against Portsmouth and Luton.
At only 20 years of age he shows promise that he could be a key player in the Championship for years to come and with his recent form he could do a good job when he comes to face us over the weekend. I do think our defence should keep a good eye on the Lions striker has he could do the job to get a result against us.
His knack for being in the right place at crucial moments was further highlighted in a FA Cup match against Dagenham & Redbridge, where he scored an unconventional goal while lying on the ground, demonstrating his quick thinking and determination.
Player To Watch – West Brom

Since joining us in the January Transfer Window, Will Lankshear on loan from Tottenham has made an immediate impact. He made his debut on February 8, 2025, coming on as a substitute in a 2-1 victory over Sheffield Wednesday. Although he had a goal disallowed for offside in a subsequent match against Blackburn Rovers where it should of been given.
With his keen eye for goal and ability to influence the game, Lankshear is poised to be a significant threat to Millwall’s defense in the upcoming fixture and could be a key player that could help us get back on track over the Lions in this weekend’s Championship fixture.
My Line Up V Millwall

A much of a changed line up than the game against Blackburn, Griffiths would start in goal for me as Semi Ajayi would replace Mason Holgate in centre back as he returns from injury. Diakite would partner in midfield with Jayson Molumby to replace Alex Mowatt.
In attack Karlan Grant would come in for Mikey Johnston, then Adam Armstrong and Will Lankshear would play as a front two.
My Prediction V Millwall
Last time out I predicted a 3-0 win against Blackburn however that was wrong and we went onto lose 2-0 and my bets that night didn’t play off.
However, here’s how I think the game would play out. In the first 20 minutes it would stay goalless with both sides not really creating much chances, the Baggies would have a corner in the opening stages but Heggem’s header would hit the post and would go out for a goalkick.
I think we would try and get a few chances in the latter stages of the first half but would be goalless at half time.
Second half in the first 10 minutes, Millwall would get a penalty and Mihailo Ivanovic would have the ball on the spot then would then beat Josh Griffiths and give the lions the lead meaning more heartbreak for the Baggies.
It would stay 1-0 to Millwall around the 80th minute mark, Diakite would then make a smart move that would land into Tom Fellows who would create a stepover that lands straight to Will Lankshear who then gets his first goal in Baggies colours to save us from defeat with 10 minutes to go.
Then the Baggies would give a right go to get the win at Millwall but a few chances we would miss and the referee would blow for full time to give us a 1-1 draw in my prediction.
Prediction: Millwall 1-1 West Brom
Goalscorers for Millwall: Mihailo Ivanovic (P)
Goalscorers for West Brom: Will Lankshear
A 1-1 draw at The Den is my prediction, I think it would be likely as we never really do well against Millwall and the last 4 times we played them have ended in draws and it could be the 5th time it happens on Saturday.
Lets hope we recover from Wednesday night’s performance and try and get a result that would give us a lift throughout the rest of the season that would put us into a play-off position.
