Just less than 72 hours after the Boxing Day clash at Derby County, the Baggies travel for another away game at Sheffield United for a tough test in the EFL Championship.

Derby away just happened and it’s what the festive period does to football players and fans alike, a game always 2 or 3 days after the last and we do have 3 games in the space of 6 days and it’s not come at the right time since Carlos Corberan left us for Valencia 20 minutes before Christmas Day.

Sheffield United is the toughest game in this period before we move onto Preston at Home on New Years Day and Swansea away on the following Saturday. It was not the best result at Derby but I have to say our performance in the second half was great and kept the fans singing whilst being down. I do feel the atmosphere in the away end would be rocking again on Sunday lunchtime and this would be a great game we did however come away with a 2-2 draw at The Hawthorns 3 weeks ago in a game where we could of had the 3 points.

Lets see what happens at Bramall Lane come Sunday and hope for something in this tough period.

Player To Watch – Sheffield United

Callum O’Hare would be my player to watch for the Blades on Sunday at Bramall Lane, the ex-Coventry City player has had a fine start to life at Sheffield with 2 goals and 3 assists in his first half to the season and has played in every game for Sheffield United so far this season.

He did score their first goal for the Blades against us at The Hawthorns 3 weeks ago and would look to hope to score past the Baggies again at Bramall Lane on Sunday. He does seem to have us in mind when playing against us and has done whilst playing for Coventry.

I do feel he be one of their key players in this encounter and need the likes of Heggem and Bartley to keep a good eye on him in the next fixture.

Player To Watch – West Brom

I’m going for Grady Diangana in this fixture, he brings the ability to unlock the defence with great movement. He looked great when coming off the bench on Boxing Day and scored the consolation goal to give us hope but nearly got the equaliser at the end of the game but he needs to start on Sunday instead of John Swift as he can provide goals and could help Josh Maja get more goals to his name if he starts.

My Line Up V Sheffield United

I have gone with Furlong and Styles to play in wing backs, Bartley and Heggem to play at the back. I also gone with Mowatt and Molumby in midfield with Fellows and Grant just behind Josh Maja in attack.

Prediction V Sheffield United

I went for a 2-2 draw last time out at Derby County but we lost 2-1 at Pride Park, this one is a tough one to predict.

It remain goalless in the first 20 minutes of the game, I say Sheffield United would get one just in the half hour mark with Kieffer Moore getting a header from a Callum O’Hare cross that would give the Blades a 1-0 lead.

Just before half time, the Baggies would restore the scoreline from a corner with Torbjørn Heggem getting a header to give us the equaliser at the break.

In the second half, around the 65th minute Sheffield United would get one back with Callum O’Hare scoring from outside the box to get them back into the lead. Things would look from bad to worse for the Baggies as Tom Davies would give Sheffield United the victory to keep them in the automatic promotion places.

Prediction: Sheffield United 3-1 West Brom

Goalscorers for Sheffield United: Kieffer Moore, Callum O’Hare, Tom Davies

Goalscorers for West Brom: Torbjørn Heggem

A 3-1 Defeat at Bramall Lane it comes after the Derby Boxing Day clash and overall not confident we would get a result here, it is my 2nd defeat I have predicted this season where I predicted we lose to Luton and now lose to Sheffield United.

We currently have no manager in place and Sheffield United are the best team in the Championship they did lose 2-0 to Burnley though on Boxing Day but they would look to come back and get a victory and I think they could do it against a Baggies side.
