The Baggies are on the road again for the second time this week as they entertain Blackburn Rovers in a mid-week clash at Ewood Park on Wednesday evening.

It’s now the 11th game of the league season and the first mid-week game of the season on the road as we travel up to Blackburn under the lights. Last time out the Baggies drew 1-1 to Oxford United as we was robbed two points as they scored a late equaliser to deny us a place in the automatic promotion places, can we do better at Blackburn as they also on the hunt for a promotion challenge as they sit in 6th place in the Championship.
Player to Watch – Blackburn Rovers

Player to watch for Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday evening is going to be Todd Cantwell who signed from Rangers over the summer. He was one of the players who was on my wishlist over the transfer window this summer as he helped Norwich City and Bournemouth secure promotion over the years, he could be one of those who could help Blackburn Rovers end their 13 year absence in the Premier League this season.
I think Cantwell could cause problems for us on Wednesday with him partnering with Thrhys Dolan and Andreas Weimann they could cause threats against us.
Cantwell has had the most assists over the seasons he was at Norwich City and I think this is the game he could bring himself to life and could secure an assist and is capable of scoring goals.
Player to Watch – West Brom

Player to watch for the Baggies over Blackburn Rovers I’m going for Josh Maja again for the third time this season. He didn’t get on the scoresheet on Saturday against Oxford United but I say this is the game he could get back to the top scorer in the Championship again.
Maja could cause problems and try to help the Baggies secure their 4th win on the road, Blackburn have conceded the most who are inside the top six over the last 10 games but I think Maja could help us get some kind of result on Wednesday evening in Blackburn.
My Line Up V Blackburn Rovers

My Line Up goes with Bartley and Ajayi in centre backs, I don’t think Holgate would be in the first 11 on Wednesday night, I have Mowatt and Racic in midfield and would have the same attacking four players like we did against Oxford United with Karlan Grant, Grady Diangana and Tom Fellows just behind Josh Maja,
Prediction V Blackburn Rovers
Predictions for the midweek fixture at Blackburn, with me tipping a win over the weekend but failed with a 1-1 draw, I am know going to make my 11th prediction in the league season.
I say the first 20 minutes it be tight between us both nothing really happening and just a few shots off target, I can see some attacking threats near half time but neither side would get the opener in the first half.
Second half, in the first 10 minutes I say there would be an opener and unfortunately I say Blackburn would get it with Todd Cantwell scoring his first goal since joining Blackburn and cause more misery to the Baggies. The Baggies would try and back in it but Blackburn would be able to close us down, with changes made with taking Grant off for Johnston, in his first 5 minutes onto the pitch he would get us back level to make it 1-1.
Near the end neither side would try to get a winner and can see this game finish level, I’m going for a 1-1 draw here at Blackburn.
Prediction: Blackburn Rovers 1-1 West Brom
Goalscorers for Blackburn Rovers: Todd Cantwell
Goalscorers for West Brom: Mikey Johnston
A 1-1 draw it is, I hope we could get a win but with us out of form since the Sheffield Wednesday game I can see us getting a draw before we can start our good run again I don’t think many would take a draw at the moment but Blackburn is one of our promotion rivals following the first 10 games and they could be up there come end of the season, lets see what happens on Wednesday evening and hope my prediction is wrong and the result is one better than what I’m going for.
