England went all the way to penalties against Switzerland as they battled a 1-1 draw. In the end The Three Lions triumphed and won on penalties for the first time at the Euros since 1996 in the quarter final stages.

Trent Alexander-Arnold scored the winning penalty for England after Cole Palmer, Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka and Ivan Toney scored from the spot, following Pickford’s saving Akanji penalty for Switzerland to clinch a 5-3 penalty shoot-out win.

Now we are facing the Netherlands in the semi-finals on Wednesday and it looked like we was heading out of the Euros in normal time when my player to watch Breel Embolo for Switzerland score in normal time in the 75th minute.

However Bukayo Saka playing in a right wing-back role, found the equalizer soon afterwards when he cut inside and curled a nice finish in off the post from outside the box.

The goal was our first shot on target and we continued at extra time, England did have a scare when Xherdan Shaqiri hit the woodwork from a corner and Zeki Amdouni had a shot parried.

England kept their cool in the shootout and won 5-3 on penalties, now England are in the semi finals at Euro 2024 with their game against the Netherlands takes place in Dortmund on Wednesday at 8pm.
