The Baggies are back in action after the November international break and face high flying Coventry City who are currently sitting top of the Championship under Frank Lampard.

One of the biggest games in the season and it’s Coventry away on Saturday lunchtime, in what has been a main focus for fans who are boycotting the game due to ticket prices of £45 for adults and £35 for kids under 18 which is a fact disgusting and what is almost disgusting is that they giving some of our away fans to their home fans and to be honest it’s a joke of a owner they have of a football club and for that I have no respect for the club after that.

I to be honest would still be attending the game but lets hope we get a positive result here against the league leaders.

Player To Watch – Coventry City

There is definitely one player who stands out ahead of this encounter is Brandon Thomas-Asante. A former West Brom player, he’s no stranger to English football and has been a key attacking force for Coventry City this season.

Known for his pace, sharp movement, and eye for goal, Thomas-Asante is the kind of forward who can exploit any defensive lapse. It wouldn’t surprise any fan if he finds the net more than once on Saturday, making him a player to watch closely.

If Coventry are to threaten, much of that danger will run through him.

Player To Watch – West Brom

All eyes will be on Aune Heggebø when West Brom take on Coventry. After a slow start at The Hawthorns, he came off the bench in the last encounter against Oxford United and will be eager to shake that off. Fans will be hoping he can pick up where he left off and get back to scoring, as he looks to make an impact and lead the line against Coventry City. Quick, strong, and confident in front of goal, Heggebø has the potential to turn this game in West Brom’s favor.

Heggebø’s presence alone can trouble defenders, as his strength and movement make him difficult to mark. He thrives on service from wide areas and clever through balls, meaning Coventry’s backline will need to stay alert at all times. If he finds his rhythm early, there’s every chance he could be the difference-maker on the day, giving West Brom fans plenty to cheer about.

My Line Up V Coventry City

I have played quite a bit of Football Manager during the international break and have gone for a 3-5-2 formation, I have a back three of Mepham, Phillips and Gilchrist, with Diakite in defensive midfield and gone with Mowatt and Molumby to return to the starting line up, in attack I’ve gone for Mikey Johnston and Iling-Junior in behind of Aune Heggebo and Josh Maja.

Prediction V Coventry City

Prediction over the top of the league is difficult, last time out I predicted a 3-2 victory over Oxford United and we did win by the 1 goal, with Aune Heggebo getting the winner for the Baggies.

This encounter would be difficult, I think a few are saying we would lose to Coventry easily with them being on a really good run with Frank Lampard but I do think we would sprung a few surprises at Coventry on Saturday.

I say within the first few minutes we would try and attack Coventry with a few saves leading to a corner for us. Within a few minutes of a corner taken Mowatt would try and shoot from range that would lead a interpretation for one of the Coventry defenders but Heggebo would read the ball and shoot one in to give us the lead in the first 10 minutes.

After the early goal, Coventry would try and get back in the game and try to frustrate us with a number of shots and Griffiths making remarkable saves to keep the scoreline at 1-0, around the 40th minute they would get one back with Jack Rudoni attempting a long-range shot that would be successful for his side to get the equaliser before the break.

In the second half, Coventry would try and get into the lead with Brandon Thomas Asante trying to take a shot that would go off target. Around the 70th minute Daryl Dike would make an appearance and within 5 minutes later Mowatt’s free kick would go for Nat Phillips header that would then be denied by one of the Coventry defence but Mowatt would then win the ball back and give it for Daryl Dike to go past one man and then take a wonderful shot to give us the lead.

The Baggies would then have more to cheer for near the end as an counter-attack would only lead for Heggebo to be 1v1 through the keeper and would go round him perfectly to get his brace of the game to give us a wonderful win at the Coventry Building Society Arena and all three points to give the travelling supporters who paid a lot of money a good afternoon out.

Prediction: Coventry City 1-3 West Brom

Goalscorers for Coventry City: Jack Rudoni

Goalscorers for West Brom: Aune Heggebo (X2), Daryl Dike

A 3-1 victory I’m going for, I think I’m going mad that we would come out and win but with our away record being poor and playing against a team running away with the league, we would park the bus and with us being under less pressure we would normally turn up. I think Heggebo would have a game of his life and Daryl Dike after a long-term injury would be certain to get a goal and this is the game to do it and I’ve said that many times we played a big opposition such as Leeds and Ipswich would Coventry be the one to do it?
