Another heartbreak for the Baggies as they suffered from another late equaliser this time it was Bristol City who secured all three points and has now put a dent to our play-off hopes as we now sit 8th in the Championship.

Another frustrating game where seconds remaining the scores are level and then the opposition scores past us, this happened in 4 games with Mowbray in charge, Sheffield Wednesday, Plymouth, Norwich and now Bristol City), our away form has been terrible the last few seasons and haven’t won on the road since November at Hull City. I think we don’t deserve to be in the mix for promotion this season and even the play-offs if these players cannot perform for the whole 90 minutes.

There was some moments where we could of got a result but it seems to be the same each week, still sitting 8th in the table and all we need now is to go on a good run for the next 5 games to me seems really unlikely.

We created two great chances during the opening half hour with Isaac Price that send a volley wide and Kyle Bartley seeing his close range header comfortably saved.

Before the break, Josh Griffiths made a stop to deny Bristol City’s Wells and even the assistant referee did later put his flag up for offside and he made another save that kept out Ross McCrorie, too, ensuring the scores were level come the interval.

Bristol City made more opportunities after the restart, as Josh Griffiths denied Wells finish where Adam Armstrong had a shot held from inside the area.

The deadlock was broken on the 56th minute where Wells found the bottom corner and gave the hosts the lead. However the lead didn’t last long as Isaac Price’s long ball over the top caused a mix up in the Bristol’s defence and Alex Mowatt levelled the scoreline.

Baggies then almost went in-front again when substitutes Tom Fellows and Ousmane Diakite combining for the latter to see his header pushed away.

Daryl Dike almost won the Baggies the game whilst watching Max O’Leary kept out his late attempt. Instead, Bristol City stole it – taking advantage of Jayson Molumby’s red card and scoring during the last few seconds causing another heartbreak to the Baggies.

Bristol City 2-1 West Brom

Goalscorers for Bristol City: Wells (56′), Roberts (90+6′)

Goalscorers for West Brom: Mowatt (62′)

Another away defeat and another late goal for the opposition that has put us 3 points behind 6th and could be 5 points behind if Coventry beat Portsmouth. Do I see us being in the play-offs this season?, not after last night’s result but it’s not over till it’s over and Watford is up next where our record against them has not been great.
