Another night under the lights for the second time this week where we take on a Southampton team who lost their 23-game unbeaten run at Bristol City on Tuesday night.

Coming into another night game, we took 3 points comfortably against Cardiff City with Mikey Johnston scoring on his first start for the Baggies in 30 seconds, and Andreas Weimann doubled the lead late in the 2nd half.
With our current home form in the Championship this season, I think we can get a result against the Saints on Friday night after their 3-1 defeat to Bristol City and have conceded 6 goals in 2 games despite winning 5-3 against Huddersfield last weekend.
Players To Watch- Southampton

Adam Armstrong would be my player to watch out for on Friday night as he is the top goalscorer for the Saints and 3rd top goalscorer in the league, just 1 behind Morgan Whittaker and Sammie Szmodics.
I think he could cause our defence some problems where Cedric Kipre could have his biggest test to date this season. I also can’t lie he has created 11 assists this season with a 27 G/A combined.
Can Armstrong test the likes of Cedric Kipre and Alex Palmer?
Players To Watch- West Brom

Tom Fellows– He has made some impact the last month or so with his new contract and his unbelievable goal against Ipswich on Saturday and he assisted the goal for Mikey Johnston after 30 seconds on Tuesday. He has got the fans singing his name with the song “Gold” by Spandau Ballet.
Fellows will definitely be the player to watch out for me on Friday, and I think he will create another assist in this match with Brandon Thomas Asante scoring.
My Line Up V Southampton

I am going for a unchanged Baggies side against Southampton after the Cardiff game, I was going to go for Andreas Weimann but I have taken a risk to start Brandon Thomas Asante as I feel he might be up for this game and has scored 9 goals in 25 games this season with a hat-trick last month against Blackburn Rovers.
I hope Semi Ajayi and Grady Diangana will be back from AFCON duties and if they are back for this crucial tie against our promotion rivals I expect them to start on the bench.
Predictions
It’s a game where I expect that both teams will score, but it will be very close and tight like the one back in November where we lost 2-1.
I think Southampton will attack as they can produce goals where I feel we can get another three points here. I was not confident about the double header games on Tuesday, but now I say we can get the win here.
West Brom 2-1 Southampton
Goalscorers for West Brom: Brandon Thomas Asante and John Swift
Goalscorers for Southampton: David Brooks
Let’s hope our weekend starts well here at The Hawthorns. Come on you Baggies!
