A Wednesday evening game awaits as the Baggies are back at The Hawthorns following their dramatic 2-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday. Can they pick up from where they left off and put the gap between Blackburn to 5 points?

Just 4 days after the vital win over Sheffield Wednesday, we go again as we host Blackburn Rovers who are also chasing the play-offs face us at The Hawthorns.
Jayson Molumby scored the last minute goal on Saturday that ensured the Baggies are 5th coming into this game and face Blackburn who are currently in 6th place. Last time out Blackburn faced the Dingles and lost 2-0 in the FA Cup 4th Round and lost their league game 2-1 at QPR last week.
John Eustace looks like he is about to exit Blackburn for Derby and not sure if he be in first team duties for this game. However as our home form has picked up of late I’m confident that we can pick up from where we left off on Wednesday evening.
Player To Watch – Blackburn Rovers

Andreas Weimann is my player to watch for this encounter, I always go for our ex-players when they are about to face us as they normally turn into an elite player and score past us.
He is currently Blackburn’s top goalscorer this season with 6 goals and at the age of 33 he is showing no signs of slowing down and I did rate him when he was on loan at us last season by scoring the only goal against Birmingham.
He is known for his relentless pressing, defensive contribution, and high energy, which can disrupt opposition defenses and create opportunities in transition. If he has been performing well recently, his form makes him a player to watch. His ability to influence matches with his attacking contributions and intelligent play can make a difference.
Player To Watch – West Brom

Adam Armstrong is going to be mine after his debut goal in the last game against Sheffield Wednesday, he would be eying this fixture when he arrived at the Midlands last week.
He scored over 20 goals for Southampton in their promotion season last season and he played for Blackburn and reached that milestone under Tony Mowbray. If he keeps his level and form he be a great asset in our team that I believe can reach the play-offs this season.
I think he would cause Blackburn defenders a few issues on Wednesday evening and they in for a terrible night if Armstrong is at his best. Lets see what happens?
My Line Up V Blackburn Rovers

I would have Joe Wildsmith in goal, Holgate would be brought back into the starting 11 after Kyle Bartley’s red card in the last game. In Midfield Mowatt and Molumby would start and would have Tom Fellows and Mikey Johnston as attacking wingers. Will Lankshear and Adam Armstrong would start up front against Blackburn.
Prediction V Blackburn Rovers
A prediction to be made in this Wednesday evening fixture, last time out I said we draw 2-2 against Sheffield Wednesday. Lets see how I predict this outcome.
In the first half, there won’t be much happening and can see Blackburn trying to attack in the first period of the half and nothing much would happen in their attack. Around the 35th minute mark Alex Mowatt would play a good ball forward that would land to Adam Armstrong to go past one of the Rovers defenders and get another opening goal since joining on loan.
Half Time the Baggies would lead 1-0 with a Armstrong opening, in the second half in the early stages we would strike again and this time it’s Armstrong again with Tom Fellows who would cross the ball over and Armstrong would fire it into the back of the net to double the advantage.
Near the end of the game, the Baggies would have a corner and Holgate would header it from a Tom Fellows corner but would land to Karlan Grant’s feet where he would smash it into the net to give us a 3-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers and would be another quality victory for the 2nd time this week that would give us hope we would finish in the play-offs and beaten one of our play-off rivals.
Prediction: West Brom 3-0 Blackburn Rovers
Goalscorers for West Brom: Adam Armstrong (X2), Karlan Grant (X1)
A 3-0 victory at The Hawthorns on Wednesday evening would be mad but I believe we can see off Blackburn as they are about to lose their manager to Derby County and that would give us a lift that we can do something in this fixture. I am confident after the win against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday and that would give the players the confidence to get another 3 points here.
