The Baggies were unlucky to not get a result at The King Power Stadium as we were unfortunate as The Foxes got all three points to be a step closer to automatic promotion.

Jed Wallace in action against Leicester City on Saturday.

The Baggies nearly got a early goal in the first few minutes when Okay Yokuslu struck from 20 yards which saw his shot go over the target. Then Mikey Johnston could of got the opener that saw his finish cleared by Leicester City’s Hamza Choudhury on the line following great play from Jed Wallace.

Leicester took the lead on the 22nd minute when Vardy’s shot was blocked by Alex Palmer but that didn’t stop Wilfred Ndidi to slam home from the rebound to get the Foxes the opener.

At nearly half-time, Leicester had got a penalty given when Yokuslu brought Vardy down in the area it looked just outside the area but the referee gave it and Jamie Vardy’s effort from the spot hit the post which kept the score 1-0 to Leicester at half time.

We again started off strongly and had a number of opportunities when M’Vila has a effort scrambled away and Grady Diangana had his efforts blocked by the Leicester defence. The Baggies were again went closer moments later from a corner when Kyle Bartley’s header hit the crossbar, then Diangana then tapped inches past the post in the midst of an attacking spell.

These opportunities we missed must of cost us when Jamie Vardy doubled the foxes lead with 25 minutes to go and looked like another unlucky away day for the Baggies.

We did get one back from a great pass by Cedric Kipre to Jed Wallace who made no mistake to make it 2-1 and gave us hope to try and get a result here. We did have some hopes of finding a leveller, with John Swift twice coming close to finding the back of the net, but the Foxes held on to claim a victory and got all three points and I think they will be a Premier League side again next season.

We definitely should of got a result here but again we just cannot get something away from home, it is like the Southampton game where we lost 2-1 back in November and couldn’t get something and same with Hull City and Ipswich where we should of won but came away with frustrating draws on the road. However, with results going our way in the race for the Play Offs with Norwich and Hull City drawing it now means we need to win in our next 2 games to Sheffield Wednesday or Preston to secure a place in the Play-Offs.

Next up for us is another away trip to Sheffield Wednesday next Saturday with a chance of securing a place in the play offs but for Leicester they can get promoted if they beat Southampton on Tuesday night but that means if Leeds lose to Middlesbrough on Monday.
