Ollie Bostock, the Welsh teenager put the Baggies into the 4th round of the FA Cup after his spotkick secured a penalty shootout win for the first time since 2016.

A great Sunday afternoon it was as the Baggies travelled to Swansea for the second time in 11 days in the FA Cup 3rd round. A few changes was made in this game as James Morrison took interim charge for this game only and Daryl Dike made his first start of the season.
Swansea the hosts had the best opportunities of the first half where Zan Vipotnik had a header off target before Melker Widell sent a fierce volley wide.
Then on the counter attack Isaac Price had the room to shoot for the Baggies but couldn’t place his effort on target in the final chance of the first half.
In the second half moments into it, Swansea took the lead as Eom found the space to curl a good effort into the top corner to put the hosts ahead.
The Baggies didn’t take long after the deficit as Callum Styles corner left Josh Maja to head home to give us the equaliser that made the tie go to extra time.
Swansea in extra home hit the post as extra time had a number of scoring opportunities until the Baggies looked to have got the winner in the 107th minute.
Young winger Ollie Bostock picked out the run of Jed Wallace on his return from injury fired home to give us the lead.
It didn’t last long and our celebrations was put on hold as Swansea equalised with substitute Inoussa waiting on the edge of the box to send the game to penalties with a fine finish into the bottom corner.
In the penalty shootout it finished 6-5 as Ollie Bostock scored the final penalty to put the Baggies into th 4th round of The FA Cup.
West Brom: Griffiths; Gilchrist (Campbell 77’), Bielik (c) (Phillips 105’), Mepham, Taylor; Johnston (Grant 105’), Styles, Diakité (Whitwell 89’ (Wallace 100’)), Price; Maja (Heggebø 77’), Dike (Bostock 60’).
A great way to finish the penalty shootout for Ollie Bostock who put us into the 4th round, it was a good victory and the game looked 50/50 as both teams could of won on their day, it had to be decided on penalties and what a future Ollie Bostock has with him putting us to the 4th round of the cup.
