The Baggies suffered a late defeat as they were beaten by Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Monday evening.

The Foxes opened the scoring from the game’s first chance, completing a slick pass move through Jordan Ayew’s 18th minute finish.

The Baggies hit back quick after Mikey Johnston had seen a header cleared off the line, then found the equaliser. Alex Mowatt then set up Karlan Grant one-on-one, and the forward slotted home to make it 1-1.

The Baggies has an opportunity before half-time with George Campbell’s volley that hit the post that was the closest they came.

In the second half both sides exchanged chances as Leicester’s Ben Nelson nodded just off-target from a corner and Isaac Price side-footed over.

Isaac Price then hit the post with his strike in a great spell that saw the Leicester keeper stop Heggebo’s close-range effort when he nearly scored.

The Baggies kept up their performance as the keeper stopped Mikey Johnston’s shot and produced a great save to deny Campbell’s header.

Then it was deja view as the Baggies conceded in added time again as Fatawu fired past Griffiths in the 94th minute to secure a late win for the Foxes.

Goalscorers for West Brom: Grant (34′)

Another late blow, as the Baggies performed well on the night and wasn’t enough for Ryan Mason to save his job. The Foxes scored late and more pressure is on the Baggies now as they are managerless and a replacement is on the cards. Next up is Swansea away in The FA Cup with James Morrison as interim manager for this game.
