Two stunning strikes from Mikey Johnston and Isaac Price secured all three points at The Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon, as the Baggies move back into the play off positions.

The October international break is over and now attention was focused on Saturday afternoon as the Baggies faced Preston at The Hawthorns and hoping to bounce back after the Millwall defeat 2 weeks ago.
We started off well trying to make a breakthrough straight away, Sam Iling-Junior and Josh Maja had their shots blocked, whilst Alex Mowatt fired over and Mikey Johnston saw his two efforts go narrowly wide.
Our best chance fell to Price, who saw his half-volley saved before Preston’s Daniel Iversen kept out his rebound. Again he also forced the Preston keeper into tipping over an excellent long range shot.
Preston came close as Milutin Osmajic’s one on one finish with his feet down the other end where Josh Griffiths made an excellent save to deny Preston the lead. Five minutes before half time, Mikey Johnston came inside from the left and fired home a great strike that gave us the lead.
Second half, in the 62nd minute Isaac Price found the top corner to convert a quick counter-attack and double the Baggies lead.
Preston had a glimper of hope towards the last 12 minutes when substitute Michael Smith put the game to 2-1, that set up late drama with 9 minutes of added time where they had a number of shots denied by Josh Griffiths at the death.
West Brom 2-1 Preston North End
Goalscorers for West Brom: Mikey Johnston, Isaac Price
Goalscorers for Preston North End: Michael Smith
A predicted score correct for once as I predicted a 2-1 victory for us on the match preview. I did expect this to be a tough game where it was and we did come out from this game with all 3 points needed that hopefully we can take to Watford and turn up and hopefully do the same again on Wednesday evening.
Next up for Preston is Birmingham at home on Tuesday night for another midweek action.
