Josh Maja secured an excellent win at Norwich on Wednesday night as the Baggies claimed all three points that moves them 1 point below the automatic places.

It’s our third win on the road this season and somehow it surprises me we actually have the best away record in the league considering before the season we haven’t won away this calendar year, could we actually turn this around this season and have a good away form that wouldn’t hold us back of having a successful season.
The teams were restricted to half-chances during the early stages, with neither goalkeeper troubled until Maja – on his first start since January – opened the scoring around the 20-minute mark.
I came into this away day, knowing we wouldn’t get anything at Norwich despite our recent record of not winning at Carrow Road since 2018 and knowing Josh Sargent would haunt us again.
Around the 20th minute mark Iling-Junior’s cross was deflected into the path of Isaac Price, who put the ball for Josh Maja to convert from inside the area to give us the lead.
Norwich attempted to comeback with Emiliano Marcondes low strike found Josh Griffiths in the way, and Harry Darling could poke over when well placed, leaving the Baggies in the lead at half-time.
Josh Griffiths made some remarkable save when he pushed away a whipped free-kick from Marcondes. Norwich defender Harry Darling had one shot wide, and flicked another past the far post as Norwich searched for an equaliser.
Josh Griffiths made two outstanding saves and cleared off their line, the visitors held firm giving the Baggies a excellent win at Norwich.
