The Baggies are set for a long trip to Norwich for another game under the lights on Wednesday evening in the EFL Championship.

Friday evening, we entertained Leicester City and was seconds away from securing all three points after Leicester grabbed a late equaliser that left fans disappointed at the end. However, it was a excellent performance for the Baggies to take and hopefully if we keep this up to this upcoming match we could come away with a result here.
Norwich City have had a mixed start to the season by winning two, drawing two and losing three of their first seven games.
The Baggies are without a win in three games and drew 1-1 over the weekend, earning a point at high flying Stoke City.
It is the third consecutive game under the lights and the second time away at Norwich City, I expect this to be another difficult game as we haven’t won at Carrow Road since 2018.
Player To Watch – Norwich City

One player to watch for Norwich City I’m going for their goal machine Josh Sargent, with 5 goals in 7 league games this season, he is one problem we have whenever we face Norwich as he has scored against us in our last 2 Carrow Road meetings even scoring a dramatic stoppage-time winner in March 2025 to give Norwich a vital 1–0 victory.
Form is another factor that makes Sargent dangerous. He has started the 2025–26 Championship season in impressive style, scoring five goals in just six starts. He is one of the league leaders in both total shots and shots on target, which underlines how consistently he puts himself in scoring positions. Beyond finishing, his work rate is also a big asset. He ranks among the best forwards in the division for ball recoveries and winning possession in the final third, showing that he contributes defensively as well as in attack.
Tactically, Sargent poses a unique threat to West Brom. His combination of pressing intensity and clinical finishing means he can hurt opponents in multiple ways: either by capitalizing on defensive errors when pressing high, or by finishing off Norwich’s attacking moves with precision.
Player To Watch – West Brom

The player to watch for this midweek clash at Norwich City I’m going for Aune Heggebø he has lately made 1 assist and 1 goal in the last 2 games. I do think he be a key threat for us on Wednesday evening as I predict he could cause problems to Norwich City’s defence and could eye a goal to give our fans a boost to see what Heggebø is all about.
Heggebø represents a fresh attacking option for West Brom who combines goal instincts, good physicality, and work ethic. Against Norwich, he could be dangerous especially if he gets good service into the box, crosses, through-balls, or if Norwich are caught struggling to deal with aerial or strong forward play. If you like, I can pull up some data on Norwich’s weaknesses for someone with his profile to exploit.
My Line up V Norwich City

The line up for Norwich I would bring back Callum Styles back in left back for Charlie Taylor, in midfield I bring in Toby Collyer to make his first start to replace Jayson Molumby, then the same attack with Iling Junior, Isaac Price and Mikey Johnston just behind Aune Heggebo as the lone striker.
Prediction V Norwich City
Last time out I predicted right a 1-1 draw over Leicester City but not in a great way for them to equalize in the dying minutes though. My predictions does seem to be going off a bit this season but this one is tough to predict.
In the first 10 minutes, I expect there be a early goal following a Mikey Johnston cross it would be left for Aune Heggebo to bury the ball home to give the Baggies a early lead at Carrow Road. After the goal, there would be moments where Norwich would try and get one back with Josh Griffiths making a few decent saves to keep the score at 1-0.
Near half time, Mikey Johnston would try to make it 2-0 but the ball would hit the post with the Baggies leading at the break. Second half, we would be in control but a few shots would be missed but I expect the Baggies would make it 2-0 following a corner from Alex Mowatt that would leave Nat Phillips to make up from Friday’s own goal over Leicester City to give his team the double at Carrow Road.
In the last 10 minutes, it remain 2-0 but I think Norwich would nick one back near the end with Josh Sargent getting a header inside the box to give them hope. In added time, there be a West Brom penalty given and Josh Maja would also make up from his miss over Leicester to give the Baggies all three points with a 3-1 victory at Carrow Road.
Prediction: Norwich City 1-3 West Brom
Goalscorer for Norwich City: Josh Sargent
Goalscorers for West Brom: Aune Heggebo, Nat Phillips, Josh Maja
A 3-1 victory I’m going for and I haven’t been confident with our predictions of late but as the way we played on Friday against Leicester I think we would be rewarded this time with a needed win at Carrow Road which has not been our happy hunting ground of late by last winning there 4-3 in August 2018.
I do think it be tough but a win here under the lights would be a perfect start to a tough week for the Baggies as they have two away games to Norwich and Millwall on Saturday afternoon in both games that I’ll be attending.
