Baggies ended Pre-Season with a second half 3-2 victory over La Liga side Rayo Vallecano at The Hawthorns on Saturday.

All five goals came in the last 20 minutes of the match, with Jayson Molumby, Karlan Grant and Isaac Price all scored to secure the win.

The first half had a number of opportunities that looked like a very even game for both sides, The La Liga side controlled possession in the early period of the first half but failed to convert any chances. Albion came into their own midway into the first half.

Alex Mowatt fired over the crossbar from distance before Grant had a shot from inside the box saved by goalkeeper Augusto Batalla.

Rayo nearly took the lead before half time as Nteka’s header at the front hit the post and the scores were goalless at the break.

The visitors found the lead with 20 minutes to go as Griffiths came out to meet a long pass forward that was beaten by the bounce, leaving an open goal for Rayo’s substitute Jorge De Frutos to break the deadlock.

Then we responsed by scoring three times in five minutes to turn the game around and was 3-1 up with Jayson Molumby, Karlan Grant and Isaac Price scoring the goals.

Molumby controlled the ball on the edge of the box and fired it into the bottom corner just four minutes after Rayo’s strike.

Karlan Grant then took the lead a few minutes later as the forward finished from close range. Issac Price then got the third as Wallace broke down the right and laid it onto Price who found the top corner with a right-footed effort from the edge of the box.

Rayo Vallecano tried to come back with six minutes left when Gumbau who came on after the interval for the away side, rifled a shot into the bottom corner from over 25 yards.

A good way to end Pre-Season with our first victory in 4 that could be the result needed to face Blackburn Rovers next Saturday that would start our 5th successive Championship campaign.
